German shipping giant Hamburg Süd is to establish its own national organisation in Costa Rica, with effect from 1 January 2009, to handle the group’s container shipping activities in the Central American country.
Operating under the name Hamburg Süd Costa Rica S.A., the subsidiary will be headquartered in the Costa Rican capital San José.
The new arm is designed to take into account the growing importance of Costa Rican market, Hamburg Süd said in a press release.
At the same time, it will further improve and strengthen the direct relations with the company’s customers in Costa Rica.
