Global shipping companies CMA CGM and Hamburg Sud have announced further joint services, adding to their existing cooperation on services between Europe and North and South America.
Services between Asia and the Caribbean have been shared since mid-January, with a new service between Asia, the US and northern Europe to begin mid-May.
While the details have yet to be finalised, the shipping groups has said they will “revamp” services between Asia and South America form mid-July.
'This partnership reinforces the group’s position in South and North America, reflecting our ambitions in this rapidly growing area and giving us the means to accelerate our development,” said CMA CGM vice chairman Rodolphe Saade in a company statement.
