A joint delegation made up of representatives of Hamburg's port-related industries and the marketing organisation for FInland's tranpsort and logistics sector, Straightway Finland, have made a trip to Mumbai in India this week to highlight the strong trade relationship between the Port of Hamburg and the Indian subcontinent.
At a workshop organised by Port of Hamburg Marketing and a number of other bodies, trade importance as well as the range of services available for the container handling and intermodal segments were detailed.
India is currently in tenth place in the rankings of trading partners at the Port of Hamburg in terms of seaborne container traffic, with direct container traffic up 13.6 per cent through the first half of 2010.
