In a bid to further promote the range of services on offer at the Port of Hamburg for Chinese traders, the Port of Hamburg Marketing has announced that it will occupy a joint exhibition stand at the China (Shenzhen) International Logistics and Transportation Fair 2010 on 15-17 October.
Along with Port of Hamburg Marketing, port-related businesses from Hamburg and the region will be exhibiting on the 112m2 stand to provide Chinese shippers involved with importing and exporting information about the products and services on offer.
Exhibitors on the joint stand include Brunsbüttel Ports, Buss Group, Eurogate, Hamburger Hafen und LogistikAG, Staightway Finland and TCO Transcargo.
The Port of Hamburg remains the leading European seaport for Chinese foreign trade in terms of containerised transport, with more than half of Germany's foreign trade with China passing through the port.
For Hamburg, China is by some distance the leading trading partner, accounting for 34 per cent of total container traffic at the port.
