The Euro Pool System Group has reported on its financial results for 2013, with the pallet and packaging specialist describing it as a good year despite challenging economic conditions in Europe.
'Our focus on client needs led to significant gain since we were able to consolidate our market position and broaden our service range,' the group noted.
The group, which is split into Euro Pool System and LPR, enjoyed overall turnover growth of 6.9 per cent to €374m – €130m from LPR (up 14.7 per cent) and €244m from Euro Pool System (up 4.3 per cent).
Euro Pool System, Europe’s largest logistical service provider for returnable and reusable packaging, managed 709m movements across the European market, growth of 3.5 per cent over last year.
As leading specialists in pallet pooling to manufacturers and retailers in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, LPR handled over 53m pallet movements across Europe last year, up 17.8 per cent when compared with 2012.
