GF Trasporti, a subsidiary of Italian fresh produce giant GF Group, has completed the acquisition of Tecnolog Italia, a transport and logistics company specialising in perishable products and based in the Italian town of Cesena.
The group revealed that it was also in the process of transferring 10 per cent shareholdings in Tecnolog Italia to each of Apofruit Italia, a leading Italian supplier of fresh fruit and vegetables, and CPR System, a joint venture cooperative providing reusable packaging to the sector.
Tecnolog Italia, which operates across Italy and on a number of international markets, operates a major distribution centre in Pievesestina, Emilia-Romagna, and currently has an annual turnover of some €15m.
