Gerold Kaltenbach has stepped down as commercial director of major German fresh produce supplier Landgard, the group has confirmed.
During the past 12 months, Kaltenbach led the company through a major restructuring process following a series of poor results, and was credited with restoring a sense of stability to the group - not to mention significant cost savings.
Landgard's board of directors thanked Kaltenbach for his contribution and confirmed that the company would continue to be headed up by Armin Rehberg and Karl Voges übernommen.
It is understood that Kaltenbach has departed 'on personal grounds' in order to pursue other activities.
