Join leading companies like Grapa, Sun World, Bloom Fresh, Agrimessina, Moyca, Olympic Fruit, Grape Evolution, Pandol Bros, Carton Pack, Ilip, Food Experts, Farmable and many more for the one-day conference and networking event, which takes place in Bari, Puglia on 4 July.
Hosted by Serroplast, Fruitnet Grape Congress brings together experts from across the international table grape value chain to discuss consumer and market trends, varietal innovations and how to make sustainability work for both growers and consumers.
The packed, one-day agenda features a lively mix of presentations, panel discussions, B2B meetings, networking opportunities and study tours in the heart of Italy’s main table grape producing region.
The programme kicks off with analysis of the latest trade and consumption data, to find out how market preferences are changing and what the supply chain can do to better understand what consumers want.
In a session on the future of table grape retailing in northern Europe, we ask whether closer collaboration between suppliers and supermarkets can help unlock new demand for table grapes.
Attention then turns to new varieties. Breeders are harnessing the synergy of traditional breeding practices and cutting-edge agri-tech solutions to develop a new generation of healthy and flavourful table grape varieties. Will these translate into a big rise in consumption? In a session entitled New Winners in Varietals, the world’s leading breeding programmes present their latest advances, after which a panel will discuss what they are likely to mean for the market.
During the afternoon, the programme turns is focus to sustainability. In the first of two sustainability sessions, we look at ways to simplify the certification and compliance burden placed on producers, while the second focuses on the impact of new packaging rules on the table grape business.
As part of the conference programme, delegates will also have the opportunity to sign up to study tours to visit local production sites and a table grape packaging specialist, plus European importers and buyers will be on hand to meet with growers at our B2B business lounge.
Fruitnet Grape Congress is the ideal place to connect with customers, buyers, suppliers and service providers and tap into a wealth of information and new business opportunities.
