Company reports record-high Brix levels in new-season crop

Fruit World is celebrating a strong organic and conventional mandarin season, with the Oakland, California-based company reporting that this year’s organic Clementines in particular reaching impressively high sugar levels and exceptional quality.

“We kicked off our organic mandarin season with clementines from my grandparents’ home ranch, Sky Ranch. These mandarins are always special, but this year they are knock-your-socks-off special,” said founder and CEO Bianca Kaprielian.

“Our next organic clementine varieties, including satsumas, are also eating exceptionally well, with higher-than-average brix levels for this point in the season. It’s a strong crop year, with plenty of fruit on the trees, which means opportunities for ads and continuity of flavour and quality.”

Fruit World is currently shipping organic clementines and satsumas in their branded 1lb, 2lb, 3lb and 5lb bags and high-graphic cartons. The company has also started shipping organic satsumas with stem and leaves, offering a farm-fresh presentation for produce departments.

“Now is the time to bring in volume to create big holiday displays,” Kaprielian said. “The flavor and quality are bound to create repeat customers.”
