Six months prior to the start of Fruit Logistica 2011, organisers of the leading international trade fair for the fresh produce trade have confirmed the event is almost fully booked.
Some 2,300 exhibitors from all over the world are set to converge on Berlin to take part in the event – which takes place on 9-11 February 2011 – offering a complete range of products and services from all levels of the fruit and vegetable marketing sector.
More than 50,000 trade visitors from some 125 countries are expected to attend the show, which takes place at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds.
'Fruit Logistica offers fruit and vegetable wholesalers, retailers, importers, exporters and growers excellent business contact opportunities along with a comprehensive overview of the global market,' said a spokesperson for organiser Messe Berlin.
European nations exhibiting at Fruit Logistica include Italy, Spain, Germany, France and the Netherlands, while a strong showing is also expected from other Mediterranean countries as well as from across North and South America.
Once again, exhibiting companies will be invited to enter their best innovations in the annual Fruit Logistica Innovation Award.
The 30th Fresh Produce Forum, meanwhile, will take place at the ICC Berlin on 8 February 2011, one day before the trade fair opens, and will focus on 'The true value of food in the discount era'.
The official Fruit Logistica welcome reception will take place immediately after the Fresh Produce Forum, offering exhibitors and top-level industry decision-makers an exclusive opportunity to network and do business before the start of the trade fair.
Freshconex 2011, the international trade fair for fresh produce convenience, will take place parallel to Fruit Logistica in Halls 7.2a, 7.2b and 7.2c.
