Thomas Thomson, a fruit farm in Scotland, is to replace the Psion mobile computers it says play a critical role in keeping costs down.
The devices are part of a picking system designed by Psion's UK partner, TSC Barcode Solutions.
The Workabout Pro 3 offers instant recording and access to benchmarking data about efficiency and productivity in the field.
The new product could also be useful as the company considers moving to wireless data transfer.
Laura Wood, Thomas Thomson's farm administrator, said: 'We'd had a long and positive experience with the Workabout Pro. However, we'd reached the point where we were cannibalising three units to make one working device and needed to upgrade.'
