Fruit Attraction is reporting that the amount of space reserved for exhibitors has increased 50 per cent year-on-year to over 11,000m2, with over 450 direct exhibitors registering to take part in the three-day event.
Organised by FEPEX and IFEMA, the professional trade fair for the fruit and vegetable industry will this yearsee some 80 per cent of exhibitors made upof producer companies, with the remaining 20 per cent consisting of goods and services suppliers.
This year's event will see new exhibitors from a greater number of autonomous Spanishregions, while international exhibitors from Algeria, Argentina, France, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands and Portugal, among others, will also be more widely represented.
In addition to the trade fair, two other main areas will be focused on during the event, in the form of threetechnical conferences andan initiative entitled 'Fruit Fusion', which will see actions taken to promote fruit and vegetable consumption.
The technical conferences will cover topics including 'The regulation of the fruit and vegetable sector in the US, including those related with mass distribution', Modernisation of greenhouses', and the 'Contribution of technological centres towards accelerating the process of innovation on farms'.
