Macfrut European Summit

This year's Macfrut, which takes place on 6-8 October in Cesena, Italy, will be preceded by the second European Fruit and Vegetable Summit, drawing a number of international speakers to address attendees from across the fresh produce supply chain.

Taking place on 5 October, the Summit is organised by Italy's leading fresh produce research and marketing organisation CentroServizi Ortofrutticoli (CSO) and Macfrut, and is sponsored by the Emilia Romagna region.

At the Summit, CSO will present production estimates for Europe's 2011 pear, apple, kiwifruit and citrus crops, while a number of international speakers will comment on the data and make estimates for the future.

Among the speakers scheduled to speak are, for the first time, a Chinese importer, as well as company directors from international groups such as Zespri or Pink Lady.
