FresQ, the second-largest grower association in the Netherlands and a major supplier of greenhouse vegetables, has posted annual turnover of €407m for 2009, according to a report in the Agrarisch Dagblad.
According to the report, sales were higher than the company had previously expected, sustaining turnover at a similar level to that achieved during the previous 12 months.
In particular, revenues from the newly established Dutch-British glasshouse venture Thanet Earth contributed to the positive result, the company noted.
FresQ also revealed its intention to increase planted area to 750ha this season.
