Dutch producer organisation FresQ has confirmed the forthcoming appointment of Arnold Reijers as commercial director following a recent restructuring of its sales division.
Mr Reijers, who has worked as FresQ's marketing manager for since April 2009 and was formerly business development manager at vegetable seed developer Enza Zaden, will take up his new role at the start of March.
Prior to 2003, Mr Reijers was Enza Zaden's area manager for eastern Europe, eastern Mediterranean, Scandinavia and the North American greenhouse market.
Marketing organisation FresQ is the second largest grower association in The Netherlands.
With 79 members, FresQ's production covers more than 750ha and includes a wide variety of greenhouse vegetables such as tomatoes, peppers, aubergines, chillies and cucumbers.
Together, FresQ growers achieved an annual turnover of €407m in 2008.
