Greek trade fair Freskon returns to the Thessaloniki International Exhibition & Congress Centre on 27-29 April for its third instalment. The show serves as a meeting place for producers, international retailers and domestic and international traders of fresh fruit and vegetables.
This year, according to organiser TIF-Helexpo, a special emphasis is being placed on the programme of hosted buyers, with important guests invited from south-eastern and central Europe, the Balkans, Scandinavia, the United Arab Emirates and China.
This year, the event takes place alongside the International Kiwifruit Congress, held on 27 April, which will feature global production and consumption forecasts for the coming years, as well as discussions on plant protection, nutrition, disease control, marketing and new markets.
The overall aim of TIF-Helexpo is to establish Freskon as the principal commercial event for the fresh fruit and vegetable sector in the south-eastern Europe and eastern Mediterranean region.
This year, the event is seeking specifically to encourage entrepreneurship in the sector, while exposing Greek produce and bolstering the primary sector.
