Fruit Attraction saw 45 Greek companies, cooperatives and organisations exhibit to showcase the potential of the country’s fresh produce

The Freskon Greece project highlighted the potential of Greek fruits and vegetables at last month’s Fruit Attraction exhibition in Madrid, with 45 companies, cooperatives and organisations taking part, the country’s largest presence at the show to date.

“This year’s national presence of Freskon Greece, organised by Helexpo, included Greece’s most significant fruit and vegetable businesses, marking the largest participation to date and an upgrade in both quality and quantity compared to previous years at Fruit Attraction,” stated Helexpo.

The delegation featured 40 companies, alongside the regions of Central Macedonia, Epirus, Thessaly, Western Macedonia, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace, as well as the Larissa Chamber of Commerce.

“The Freskon Greece pavilion highlighted Greek fruits and vegetables and attracted numerous visits from Spanish and international trade professionals,” the organisers said.

The Freskon Greece initiative stems from the International Trade Show for Fruit and Vegetables, Freskon, which is held annually in April in Thessaloniki.

“It is one of southeast Europe’s largest events for the fruit and vegetables market,” said Helexpo, “aiming to organise and showcase Greek industry companies globally through a unique concept.”
