Freshway Foods has debuted a new personal-sized, healthy snacking range, called ‘Snack Takes’, which features fruit and vegetable mixes with a sauce dip for “an added punch of fun and flavour”.
The company said in a statement that it had designed Snack Takes to be a “perfect low calorie snack ideal” for consumers of all ages to enjoy, whether at school or in the office.
The initial range includes Sliced Apples & Grapes with Caramel Dip, Sliced Apples with Caramel Dip, Celery & Carrots with Ranch Dip and Whole Strawberries with Chocolate Dip.
Dan Purdy, Freshway Foods’ vice president of sales and marketing, said: “Our entire fresh-cut business is built on the commitment of delivering healthy, great tasting products that provide an extra layer of value to the end user, and we believe that expanding into fun and convenient snack solutions is a natural next step.”
Purdy added that the company would be adding new items to the core range “very soon”.
Freshway Foods began production of the Snack Takes line in early June and is delivering the range to select retailers and foodservice customers in its distribution area east of the Mississippi River.
