Richard Binks, former technical manager at the Greenery UK, has announced the launch of a new business providing technical services to the fresh produce industry.
Based in the UK town of Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, FreshTec Agricultural Consultancy (FreshTec) will reportedly provide a one-stop shop, including short- to medium-term interim technical management; new product and varietal development; quality management system auditing; and pesticide and farm assurance strategy.
Binks, who has over 20 years’ experience in agriculture and fresh produce production both in the UK and overseas, commented: “FreshTec was borne from a desire to provide sound technical advice and support to businesses seeking that all essential technical dimension, which can strengthen their position in an already competitive market”.
