Shareholders of leading fresh produce marketer Freshmax have indicated their desire to accelerate their business’ growth and development, reflected in key senior management changes and initiatives identified for the future.
Senior management changes announced on Tuesday 3 September reflect greater emphasis on growth, development and mergers and acquisitions in the Pacific Rim, which the company states will benefit its growers, customers and shareholders.
Ross Kane, CEO of Global Commercial Operations, has assumed the role of Group CEO, supported by Helen Waterworth, Group CFO.
The former Group CEO, Tony Mahoney, has been promoted to a new role heading up mergers and acquisitions in Australia and Asia. Mahoney has also acquired residency status on the company board.
“Further management changes can be expected during September, as we develop a Freshmax executive team with vision and determination for implementing our growth strategy,” David Smith, who is continuing his role as Group Chairman, is reported as saying in a company media release.
