The fifth edition of Freshconex, the leading event for the fresh produce convenience industry, attracted some 11,000 trade visitors from five continents to the Berlin Exhibition Centre last week.
Taking place on 8-10 February, the event saw visitors gain a concentrated market overview of products and services offered by around 80 exhibitors from 15 different countries.
Europe's only trade fair for the fresh produce convenience segment was characterised by the international scope of trade visitors and the presence of top-level decision-makers attending the event.
The Freshconex Business Forum, an integral part of the three-day trade fair organised by Fresh Convenience Magazine and the United Fresh Produce Association, took place throughout the three-day event, with expert speakers presenting information on the latest trends in fresh convenience products.
Exhibitors at the event were once again impressed by its scope and the opportunities that Freshconex offered.
'Freshconex is number one – absolutely the most important trade fair for us,' said Carlo Ascari, President, ABL s.r.l.: 'Already on the day before Freshconex opened we concluded an important contract in Berlin that we had initiated last year during the fair. We also signed new contracts at the event this year. We are really very, very satisfied!'
