South African fruit and vegetable marketing company Fresh to Go has announced that it has joined forces with UK-based importer Constantia to form Fresh to Go (UK).
In a statement, the firm said that Constantia would be known as Fresh to Go UK with effect from 3 January 2011, although it stressed that its operations would remain unaffected.
Known in South Africa for supplying national grocery retailer Woolworths, Fresh to Go said it benefited from having a dedicated procurement, technical and product development team that, following the merger, would be able to offer a broader range of products and services,direct from source.
The company said: “We look forward to reintroducing ourselves under our new banner in the coming months, and providing our suppliers and customers with all the benefits that this new partnership will bring in 2011.”
