Fresh Antalya, the annual exhibition showcasing both Turkish and international fresh produce, will not go ahead this year, the event's organisers have confirmed.
Originally due to take place on 15-17 November at the Antalya Expo Centre, the event has now been postponed, according to the ANFAS organisation committee.
ANFAS said in a statement that despite the promotional efforts carried out by its team in nearby fruit and vegetable growing regions, companies were 'not interested' in the exhibition because of 'economic', 'sectoral' and 'cyclical factors'.
'Consequently we've decided to postpone the Fresh Antalya Exhibition,' ANFAS noted. 'We are sorry that this year's exhibition will not take place as planned. We have decided to postpone our exhibition until a date when the fruit and vegetable industry's demand increases.'
