Fresh & Easy Neighbourhood Market, the US arm of leading UK retailer Tesco, has this week announced the opening dates for its first two stores in San Francisco.
According to the group, the first store will open at 32nd Avenue & Clement Street on 22 June, followed by an outlet at 3rd Street & Carroll Avenue on 24 August, creating over 50 jobs in the process.
'I look forward to the Fresh and Easy store opening and welcoming a new business that is partnering with the community and giving back to schools and community organisations in the Richmond district,' said San Francisco County supervisor Eric Mar.
'We could not be more thrilled with the strong performance of our first 11 stores in northern California and we're excited to get our doors open in San Francisco,' added Tim Mason, CEO of Fresh & Easy. 'Judging by the fantastic reception we've seen from customers throughout the Bay Area, we are certain these stores will also be a hit.'
