Fresh And Easy

Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market yesterday (Wednesday 7 April) marked a new milestone in the retailer’s history with the opening of its 150th store at Olive & Verdugo in Burbank, California.

Burbank Mayor Gary Bric joined Fresh & Easy CEO Tim Mason to celebrate the latest opening, which also included new stores in three other California communities – Ontario, Baldwin Park and Downey.

“We started just over two years ago with a simple idea – every neighbourhood deserves access to fresh, wholesome food at affordable prices,” said Mr Mason in a press release.

“We’re happy to have become a part of 150 neighbourhoods so far and to have created so many good, local jobs. Celebrating our 150th store is a wonderful milestone and we’re excited to continue opening even more stores in all types of neighbourhoods.”

In the next two weeks, Fresh & Easy plans seven more store openings in California and Arizona.

Store openings on 14 April will take place in La Quinta, Wasco, Scottsdale and Phoenix.

An additional outlet will open in Phoenix on 21 April as well as two stores in Bakersfield.

Fresh & Easy opened its first store in November 2007 and currently operates more than 150 stores in California, Arizona and Nevada.
