Compagnie Fruitière’s Alain Kritchmar has been elected as president of the French association for fresh fruit and vegetable importers
Alain Kritchmar has been elected as the president of CSIF, the French trade association for fresh fruit and vegetable importers, with outgoing president Philippe Pons remaining on the board as vice-president.
Kritchmar thanked the board of directors for its trust and paid tribute to Pons for his efforts. The board is now composed of Alain Kritchmar (Compagnie Fruitière), vice presidents Philippe Pons (AZ France) and Gilles Lagache (Terragaia) and treasurer Jean François Vallet (SIIM).
Kritchmar has been active in the import sector for many years and is already heavily invested in organisations in the sector, according to CSIF.
On the importance of collective action, Kritchmar said it was “essential for our profession to be fully recognised as a legitimate and essential component of the fresh fruit and vegetables sector in France”.
Compagnie Fruitière’s Gautier Fischel is deputy chairman of the Banana Section of the CSIF, which brings together the marketers of green bananas in France.
