Total Produce has announced that Frank Gernon is to leave his role as director of financial strategy and development on 20 July this year.
The Ireland-based group revealed in a statement that Gernon, who has been with the company for 40 years in a number of different senior positions, will stand down from his full-time role and will instead take on an advisory role, while remaining an executive director on the board.
'Frank has been with the Group for 40 years and has held many senior executive roles, including that of finance director and, more recently, director, financial strategy and development,' said chairman Carl McCann.
'Frank has made a very significant and valuable contribution to the development of the group,' he added. 'We are very pleased that Frank will remain as a director and the group will continue to benefit from his knowledge and experience.'
