Agricultural certification body GlobalGAP has revealed that it has approved a proposal to revise its standard every four years instead of every three years to allow stakeholders to adjust to, and implement, the new version.
The latest revision, now set for 2011, has begun already, despite Version 3.0 only being implemented on 1 January this year. Areas being discussed by GlobalGAP’s different sector committees include standard efficiency, standard integrity, resource management and the improvement of integrated pest management guidelines.
