Grapes

In June 2009, the federation of table grape producers (FNPRT) attacked the movement for the rights and respect of future generations (MDRGF) for allegedly “denigrating” the fruit through the publication of an inquest into the presence of pesticide residues in grapes.

On Wednesday, the First Instance Court (TGI) of Paris not only refuted the grape producers’ arguments, but condemned them for “abusive procedure”, suggesting that the aim was to gag the movemen, according to Novethic.

“This decision is all the more satisfying since it legitimates our actions,” said Nadine Lauverjat of the MDRGF.
