Last week, Florette, the European leader in fresh-cut vegetables, acquired 100 per cent of the capital of Salads To Go through its subsidiary Soleco UK.
Salads To Go is the leader in fresh-cut salads for the retail and foodservice market, with a turnover of €33.5m (£30m).
The acquisition will strengthen Florette’s presence in the UK, allowing the company to pursue further growth in the future.
Salads To Go has a production site in Skelmersdale, in Lancashire, while Soleco has its own in Lichfield, in Staffordshire. Florette now boasts 10 manufacturing sites in Europe.
