Florette fruit

At this month's Fruit Logistica in Berlin, French fresh-cut specialist Florette announced that it would be offering a range of ready-to-eat fruit products from May.

The range will reportedly include single fruit products, including pineapple cubes and coconut slices, as well as mixtures such as apples and grapes, and a changeable seasonal fruit offering.

Each product is free of sweeteners and preservatives, Florette states, and bears a 'maturité garantie' sign, a guarantee that the product is perfectly ripe.

To maximise convenience, the range comes complete with a disposable fork, and for reasons of presentation, each pack stands upright on the shelf and features a transparent cover.

In addition, the company will seek to attract kids with the launch of its fruit and chocolate sauce product, including slices of pineapple, apple and coconut with a microwaveable dip.
