French ready-to-eat supplier Florette has signed an agreement with Lammefjords Gront, a subsidiary of giant Danish cooperative DLG, as it seeks to further strengthen its position internationally.
Florette, a subsidiary of French cooperative Agrial, chose the group in part to give it access to the Danish and Scandinavian markets, in which it has previously lacked a presence.
Lammefjords Gront, with its daily production of 45,000 bags of chopped vegetables and turnover of €20m, will help Florette consolidate its position in the fresh ready-to-eat vegetables segment.
The combined operation will sell under the Lammefjords Gront and Florette brands, according to reports, as well as under private label brands.
The joint venture is expected to be finalised in the first quarter of 2015.
