FirstFruits Marketing has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Jose Armando Munguia to oversee the company’s exports to Mexico and Central America.
“We are very pleased to welcome Jose to our team, his knowledge of the produce export market is a valuable asset,” Keith Mathews, CEO of the Yakima, WA-based marketer said in a statement.
Munguia, who is fluent in Spanish, has three years of export marketing experience and ten years of general sales experience. Most recently he worked on client development, quality control and special projects at Washington Export, where he managed accounts in Latin America and the Caribbean.
“I am excited to start the next phase of my career with FirstFruits Marketing,” Munguia said. “I’m eager to join this elite team and contribute to its success and purpose.”
FirstFruits Marketing was founded by Ralph and Cheryl Broetje in 1968 and has since become one of the largest privately owned orchards in the US. The grower-owned company donates a portion of its profits to non-profit missions supporting underserved people in the US and around the world.
