Spanish discount retailer Dia has announced that gross sales increased by 6.9 per cent through the first half of the year, climbing to €7.57m.
According to Planet Retail, the company's adjusted earnings before interest, taxation, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) hit €261m, up 5.2 per cent on the same period of 2012, boosted by Iberian, Brazilian and Argentinean operations.
Gross sales in Spain improved by 6 per cent through the half, while store numbers were up 459 on the previous year.
