Purfresh has announced a fifth consecutive year of growth for its Purfresh Transport technology, with year-on-year increase in demand for its intelligent cargo protection solution rising by 200 per cent.

Five consecutive years of record growth for our Purfresh Transport technology reflects our long-standing commitment to revolutionising the shipping industry,' said Dr Brian Westcott, recently appointed president andCEO of Purfresh. This achievement validates the need for an advanced, cost-effective ocean transport solution, and comes on the heels of accelerating production of our newest Purfresh Transport system, which displays the CE mark of approval.

'We are constantly working to ensure our Purfresh Transport technology offers the most productive and reliable user experience possible, and the CE mark of approval validates our commitment to the quality and safety standards required by the international marketplace,' he added.

In addition to the increase in demand, 2011 saw growers and shippers utilise Purfresh Transport to protect more than double the number of commodities shipped year-over-year for ocean voyages ranging from as short as seven days to more than 40 days.

Buyers, including retailers, are experiencing first-hand the benefits of higher-quality fresh produce being shipped to and from new geographical import and export markets as shippers are able to reach new markets via longer trade routes with Purfresh Transport,' said David Bouchard. 'We're able to safely and effectively protect the quality of the loads for more than 40 days on the water, and as a result more and more shippers are moving product from airfreight and specialty vessels to ocean transport.

'In addition, to accommodate the increasing worldwide market adoptions, we have expanded our global network of partners and added new staff to key regions,' he noted.
