Attendees will learn about the latest trends and challenges in plant breeders’ rights
The CIOPORA Academy returns to Madrid next month for an in-depth workshop tailored specifically for horticultural sector professionals. This event, which takes place on 7 October at the Novotel Madrid Campo de las Naciones, is designed to provide attendees with the essential knowledge and skills to navigate the complex world of Plant Breeders’ Rights (PBR) and Intellectual Property (IP) for plants.
The horticultural landscape is evolving continuously, and the CIOPORA Academy programme offers a unique opportunity to update attendees with the latest trends and challenges of plant breeders’ rights. IP and genetic resources, PBR and enforcement process in Spain, and multi-jurisdiction PBR applications will be some of the topics addressed by the speakers.
Katrin Huhnholz, product manager of the CIOPORA Academy, commented: “Our return to Madrid reflects the growing need for specialised knowledge in plant breeders’ rights. This workshop provides a valuable platform for professionals to enhance their skills on Intellectual Property for plants, a crucial aspect for any company that wants to engage in plant breeding”.
The CIOPORA Academy Madrid is open to CIOPORA members and non-members. Those wishing to attend can register at the CIOPORA Academy Workshop in Madrid website. The deadline for registration is 26 September and tickets cost €599 for members and €1,198 for non-members.
