The 2010 edition of Spanish fresh produce trade fair Fruit Attraction has so far confirmed 43 per cent more exhibitors than last year’s show, an increase that organisers say reflects greater international participation.
Ahead of this year’s event, which has been moved to 20-22 October from last year’s 4-6 November, organisers said there were now 428 registered exhibitors, some 81 per cent of which are said to be producers, with the remainder accounted for by auxiliary companies.
In a statement, organisers fresh produce federation Fepex and events specialist Ifema, said they had secured the participation of companies from Spanish regions not present in the 2009 event, including Valencia, Navarra, the Basque Country and Castille-Leon.
Fruit Attraction, they added, would also feature a greater number of international exporters, including representatives from Mexico, Argentina, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Algeria, Portugal and Sudan, among others.
