The 12th Central Asian International Food Industry Exhibition, World Food Kazakhstan 2009, took place in Almaty last month, featuring exhibitors from 29 countries and covering all sectors of the food industry.
Over 3,000 visitors attended the exhibition, which took place on 3-6 November, viewing products from national groups from Germany, South Korea, Latvia, Lithuania and Krygyzstan.
'We were very pleased with this year's show,' said event director Tom Higginson. 'There is a great deal of movement in the food industry at the moment and it is clear that both domestic and international companies are keen to remain up-to-date with the latest developments.
'Feedback from our exhibitors was also extremely positive and 38 per cent have already booked their stands for next year's show,' he added.
The next edition of World Food Kazakhstan will take place on 1-4 November 2010, supported by the country's Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Almaty City Akimat, The Kazakhstan Union of Poultry Farmers and the Farmers' Union of Kazakhstan.
