Eurofruit Magazine has teamed up with leading reefer shipping news and information service Reefer Trends to launch The Reefer Shipping Supplement, a brand new, biannual publication focusing on the reefer shipping industry—with particular reference to the European fresh produce trade.
Published in Eurofruit’s March and November/December issues, The Reefer Shipping Supplement will deliver the magazine’s subscribers up-to-date news and comment about major developments and trends within the reefer market, while at the same time offering a platform for the sector’s leading players to market their services to potential new clients.
“We’re very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Reefer Trends, which over the past decade has established a strong reputation as one of the reefer shipping industry’s most trusted and reliable partners by providing well-researched, timely information,” commented Mike Knowles, editor of Eurofruit Magazine.
While the reefer shipping sector has witnessed a notable shift in overall market share towards container carriers, the specialised reefer operators have generally performed well during the recent economic slump.
Furthermore, with conventional reefer capacity likely to remain limited during the next couple of years at least, an anticipated recovery in demand for seaborne cargo services among fresh produce exporters could bode well for their future survival and growth.
Reefer Trends editor Richard Bright said: “This collaboration between the two pre-eminent industry titles ensures that an in-depth coverage of variables that impact on supply and demand for reefer capacity reaches the widest audience.” He added: “For the first time, it also offers those reefer shipping stakeholders an unrivalled platform from which to market their services.”
