The breeding company said it will be highlighting several key topics that underscore its commitment to agricultural innovation and to solutions that offers value to the produce chain.

During the events, participants will have the chance to explore an extensive range of products, including lettuce, endive, spinach, pumpkin, and the seed company’s Bremia resistant portfolios.

“In today’s challenging market, efficiency in production is one of the challenge producers face in their day to day. Efficiency means doing more with less by optimising the use of water, fertilisers, and land resources,” the company said.

“This approach benefits both the environment and profitability, enhancing competitiveness. Enza Zaden’s breeding teams understand the crucial role of efficiency in production, this is why the company is constantly working towards developing varieties and portfolios that focus on traits enhancing resilience and resource optimisation.”

The programme kicks off in Allonnes, France on 5 September, before moving on to Dannstadt-Schauernheim, Germany on 12 and 13 September, and the towns of Twisk, Voorst and Enkhuizen in the Netherlands on 24-27 September. In Voorst there will be a special focus on organics at Vitalis facilities, while at Enkhuizen, the special focus is on hydroponic.

The Discovery Field Days will also be an opportunity to mark the 30th anniversary of Enza Zaden’s 100 per cent organic seed company, Vitalis Organic Seeds.

“In Voorst, visitors can explore the organic range for open field crops and a large pumpkin display. Additionally, they will have the chance to see a six-year research project in collaboration with Wageningen University, in which the strip cultivation system is thoroughly examined. Guided tours will also be available to discover their key achievements in organic breeding,” the company said.

“Each location will offer unique experiences, from the Bremia conferences to the demonstration of a fully electric harvesting and bundling machine, and even a special themed catering. The Discovery Field Days are a testament to Enza Zaden’s dedication to innovation, customer engagement, and the sharing of knowledge.”
