De los Ríos assumes the presidency of AECOC’s Fruit and Vegetable Committee with the commitment to strengthening the entire agri-food chain of the fruit and vegetable sector. He said his goal is to promote collaboration among all its stakeholders to ensure a sustainable and competitive model.

“It is an honour to assume this responsibility, and I am grateful for the trust placed in me,” he commented. “I also want to recognise Joaquín Rey and his magnificent work at the head of the Committee, of which he will continue to be a member, during his 11 years of leadership.”

The new president also emphasised that the future of the sector depends on a strong and balanced agri-food chain, in which production, marketing, and distribution work in harmony.

“The coming years will be decisive for maintaining fruit and vegetable consumption in Spain and Europe, and for these reasons, we must strengthen unity of action throughout the chain,” he added.
