Vegetable seed company Rijk Zwaan has announced that it has landed first place in he largest employee satisfaction survey in the Netherlands, conducted by research body Effectory.
The Dutch group came top of the list for companies with fewer than 1,000 employees, based on workers awarding Rijk Zwaan's employment an average score of 8.6 out of a possible ten marks.
Effectory's survey compared 369 organisations by letting employees give their verdict on subjects including company culture, development possibilities and opportunities, colleagues, and renumeration.
Rijk Zwaan said that while the award only applied to the Netherlands division, the award was regarded as a compliment to the worldwide organisation.
'Rijz Zwaan distinguishes itself as an employer with its people-oriented approach which is expressed in high levels of freedom, responsibility and openness, and a good working atmosphere,' the group noted.
'The company is convinced that it is exactly these values that lead to the high satisfaction among its employees.'
