Technology company Emerson has announced the acquisition of Florida-based Locus Traxx and Idaho-based Paksense, as it expands its global capability in fresh food monitoring, according to a report in STL Today.
Emerson, located in Ferguson, Missouri, supplies remote monitoring services to 17,000 food retail sites across the world.
Emerson's executive vice president, Bob Sharp, commented: “The addition of Locus Traxx and PakSense to our portfolio strongly positions Emerson to address the high-stakes challenges faced by end-users in the agriculture, transport and retail industries to keep their products fresh, while helping them drive incremental growth.”
