Sales of Dutch vegetables in France fell by 25 per cent in the first half of 2011, according to Végétable.
The drop was predominately down to the E.coli crisis, which led to a fall in sales of a staggering 456 per cent in the month of June.
Tomatoes were the worst affected over the half year, according to Végétable, with sales dropping by some 50 per cent.
