Martin Dunnett, commercial director at Capespan UK will take early retirement in July after 35 years with the company.
Dunnettis one of the best-known figures in the fruit trade both in the UK and South Africa. He has played a key role in seeing the company move from the age of the single-desk marketing system in South Africa through deregulation.
He has helped turn Capespan into a global procurement, marketing and distribution company with strategic partnerships importing fresh produce from around the world to supermarkets and wholesalers in the UK.
