DP World

Dubai Port World is to open a new chapter this week by trading for the first time on the London Stock Exchange, the first Middle Eastern company to do so.

According to a report by ifw-net, the first day of trading for the group will be on 1 June, subject to the approval of the UK listing authority.

The group, which is the world's third-largest container terminal operator, presides over 49 terminals in 28 countries.

'As the only listed global port operator, DP World provides investors with a unique opportunity to invest in the long-term growth opportunities in the industry, exposure to faster-growing emerging markets and to invest in a company at the heart of the global trade,' said chairman Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayern.
