Andy Connell, the logistics manager at Dole Food Company in South Africa, is to speak at Cool Logistics 2011.
Connell believes port congestion around the world is a 'serious threat to schedule integrity' and will put his views across at the event in Antwerp on 26-28 September this year.
He joins a range of speakers who will cover topics including the long-term impact of the second Panama canal, the effect of the Japanese earthquake on shipping patterns and the perishable supply chain.
