On Monday, dockworkers protested Del Monte Fresh Produce Company's decision to move its operations from the port of Philadelphia to a privately owned facility in Gloucester, New Jersey.

According to US news site People's World, at least 200 jobs are due to be cut in the move to the new facility, where workers will see wages fall by half.

The International Longshoremen's Association has reportedly called for a boycott of Del Monte Fresh Produce of North America.

The Philadelphia rally was part of a planned national protest against the company, including further actions at two locations in Florida and one in Galveston, Texas.
