One of Italy's leading fresh convenience suppliers is preparing to mark the upcoming 150th anniversary of the country's formation with the launch of a specially designed salad pack.
La Linea Verde plans to market the Insalata Tricolore in special red, white and green bags labelled '150o' (150th) and also carrying the company's well-known Dimmidisì brand.
The 150g bag of pre-washed, freshly prepared salad will include Valerian (a herb), curly-leafed lettuce and red radicchio.
The company said it was happy to be able to mark the occasion by marketing one of its flagship products using the Italian flag.
'It's an unmissable opportunity to give the consumer another chance to celebrate Italy and to see our fresh-cut range as increasingly modern, current and patriotic,' said a spokesperson for La Linea Verde.
The Italy-themed salad packs will be available on the Italian market from the beginning of March and will be sold for the rest of the year.
