Italian fresh convenience specialist La Linea Verde has launched the first ever fresh fruit and vegetable smoothie to be sold on the Italian market.
Marketed under its leading DimmidiSì brand, the product is a mix of both fruit and vegetables, presenting consumers with a healthy and ready-to-drink beverage that contains no preservatives, colourings, concentrates or purées, as well as being free from added sugars, water or flavours.
The drink, which is packaged in a 250ml PET bottle with an easy-opening screw-cap, contains fennel and spinach, along with a range of fruits including apple, orange, grape, banana, lime and lemon.
It will be priced at around €1.90 and can be consumed within 10 days of being bottled.
'With DimmidiSì's latest innovation, La Linea Verde has taken a further step in terms of offering a good, light, fresh and thirst-quenching product that meets consumers' needs,' said a spokesperson for the company.
'The smoothie combines the principals of a healthy diet and a product that can be enjoyed at any time of the day,' the spokesperson added.
The DimmidiSì range already includes five other smoothie lines: Strawberry & Banana, Fruits of the Forest, Orange & Carrot, Pear & Black Cherry and Tropical.
